1st STITTSVILLE SCOUTS
Voyageur Citizenship Requirement #5
Describe the Canadian flag, as well as your provincial or territorial flag, flower and bird using visual aids to assist.
Welcome to the 1st Stittsville Scout Group Chief Scout program resource forum. Over the past few years our 1st Stittsville Scout sections have been developing program activities that are intended to address the requirements for the Chief Chief Scout Award.
The information presented in this forum are ideas that have been run by our Troop sections as well as ideas that have been collected from other scout groups within Canada.

The material in this forum can also be used to solve Pathfinder Citizenship requirement #1
The PPT handout is designed to be used with a projector. Run this presentation with your youth and tell them to take note of all of the details in the presentation - such as colors of the flags, shapes / images and animals that are on each flag. Note that this PPT includes the "Regional flags of Canada" which are not part of this requirement, but it is fun to challenge the youth to identify them if they can.
After the presentation, divide the youth into pairs and then give them the MSWORD doc handout. In pairs, have the youth answer the questions. Note that the MSDOC can be printed double sided for the questions and the answers.
Time: 15 mins for the presentation, 30 minutes for the questionaire.
