It’s Time To Take One for the Environment!

May 4 is our regular Scout Trees event where we do activities to give back to the environment in our village.  The event this year will focus on Cubs level because of the proximity of the Cosmic Adventure Sleepover for Beavers as well as Troop hiking camp. This year we will be planting trees in the Coyote Run subdivision and youth and families are welcome to participate.

    Tree Planting

City staff have asked that we plant 250 trees by the storm water storage areas in the Coyote Run subdivison right here in lovely Stittsville.

    Time: 9:30AM – 11:00AM

Gathering Location: Coyote Run Park Dry Pond

(located (accessed from) 146 Coyote Cres. in Stittsville)

See this map of the planting site from the City.

    Important Reminders:
    • Bring a shovel, bucket and work gloves
    • Proper footwear and clothing are vital as we will be walking through natural environs.
    • Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. This is a rain or shine event!
    • Toilets/KYBOs are not available on site
